Spiked Ring or Spikes Inside the Cage? Know What You're Ordering
Share
Spiked cages come in several forms. Some use a separate spiked ring; others have screw spikes in a plate. Before choosing one, find out where the spikes sit and which parts your selection includes.
Start with “with thorn ring”
The Natural Resin Chastity Cage with Spiked Ring offers Red, Green, and Transparent, plus a “with thorn ring” version of each color. Long cage and Short cage appear in a separate menu.
Choose the ring version first, then the cage length. Selecting Short cage does not add the thorn ring. The option name still needs to say “with thorn ring” if that is the version you want.
The gallery shows the difference plainly: the points line the inside of a separate ring. This is a different part from a smooth base ring. When browsing 3D printed chastity cages, look past the color and find the photo that shows the spiked component itself.
A useful way to remember this selection is “Green with thorn ring, Short cage.” That short description is more precise than a screenshot of the product title.
Then compare the screw-spike design
The Flat Metal Chastity Cage with Detachable Spikes uses a different arrangement. Its detachable screw spikes sit in the plate of a 304 stainless steel flat cage. The gallery shows screw heads from the front and the points on the other side.
Here, “detachable spikes” means the screw spikes. It is not another name for the resin cage’s separate thorn ring.
This page also offers Cage Only or Cage with Silicone Catheter, followed by Curved Ring or Flat Ring and a base-ring size. Cage Only is the alternative to the catheter version. It does not say “without spikes.”
That is worth remembering across the metal chastity cage collection. A similar silver finish can make two designs look closely related, while their spiked parts and option menus differ. Use the description and the reverse view to see what you are comparing.
A removable cap is another feature
You will also see cages described as having a removable cap. That means the cover or front section comes off. It does not mean the spikes come out with it.
If you want to use a cage without a spiked part, look for that specific option or ask the store whether it is possible. A photo of a partly disassembled cage may simply show how it comes apart for cleaning or assembly.
Keep the parts with the model they belong to. Do not assume a thorn ring or screw assembly from one cage will fit another.
Read your selection once more before paying
Compare the full option names in the cart with the version you meant to choose. For the resin cage, check the color, thorn-ring wording, and cage length. For the steel model, check Cage Style, ring shape, and ring size.
Do this together if you are choosing from the spiked chastity cage collection with a partner. Agree on the spiked component as well as the appearance. The number of points or the word “adjustable” cannot tell you how a device will feel for either person.
When a page leaves you unsure, send the product link and selected options with a direct question: “Which part carries the spikes in this version, and is it included?” If you also want a version without that part, ask about that separately.
FAQ
Is a spiked ring the same as internal cage spikes?
No. A spiked ring is one component. Other designs place spikes in the cage or a plate. Look at the photo showing the points.
Does “Cage Only” mean there are no spikes?
Not on the steel example here. It distinguishes the cage from the version with a silicone catheter. Ask separately if you want a version without spikes.
Does a removable cap mean removable spikes?
No. The cap and spikes are separate features. Check which part the description calls removable.
