I won’t lie—locking up with a Prince Albert piercing changed the game for me. It made the whole experience feel more serious, more real. But it also added a layer of, let’s say... maintenance. You’ve got metal going through your dick and more metal holding it in. Things get complicated fast if you’re not on top of your care routine.

Let me break down how I manage it—real talk, no fluff, no fancy words.

1. A PA-friendly chastity cage is not optional.

Not all cages are made for pierced guys. I learned that the hard way. Some cages put way too much pressure on the tip, or worse, pull the ring in a weird direction. That’ll leave you sore, raw, and rethinking everything.

What you need is a cage that either lets your PA hang comfortably outside or one that actually uses the ring to hold the cage in place—on purpose. If you try to shove a PA into a regular cage, you're gambling with pain and infections.

2. Cleaning is a non-negotiable daily job.

Look, if you’re caged and pierced, you can’t be lazy about hygiene. I use a squeeze bottle with warm saline water in the shower—point it right at the tip and flush it. It’s easy. Doesn’t sting. Gets the job done.

Every other day, I take a cotton swab and gently clean around the piercing hole and ring. Especially around the edges. You’d be shocked how much gunk builds up, even if everything looks fine.

3. Don’t pretend discomfort is “part of the fun.”

I get it—we’re into control, denial, discipline. But if your piercing feels hot, throbbing, or like it’s pinching constantly, that’s not sexy. That’s your body telling you to take the damn thing off and check.

You won’t lose your sub points for being smart about your health. If I feel off, I unlock, clean up, inspect, then lock back in when everything feels good again.

4. Watch the ring size and material.

Titanium changed my life. Stainless was fine, but it felt heavier and got cold in the wrong moments. Titanium is lighter, smoother, and plays nicer with long-term wear. Also—don’t go crazy with huge rings. Bigger isn’t always better when it’s rubbing against a cage all day.

5. Skip the scented soaps and fancy lubes.

I used a body wash once that smelled like cedar and regret. Instant irritation. Keep it simple—fragrance-free, sensitive-skin soap, or saline. If you’re applying lube near the piercing (say, during a catheter insert), use only water-based and rinse afterward.

I’ve been locked with a PA for months at a time without issues—but only because I treat the piercing like a partner in all this. It’s part of the scene, part of the gear, and it deserves just as much attention as the cage itself.
