A Dom’s Spike Schedule That Actually Works

I didn’t realize how powerful a tiny metal spike could be until I started using a schedule instead of random punishment. My sub went from “yeah whatever” to literally behaving like an honor student because he never knew when those spikes were coming back into play.

Here’s how I built my own Spike Schedule without turning it into some complicated military drill.

1. Pick Your Purpose First

I had to get real with myself:
Was I using spikes to reward, warn, or straight-up punish?

• Reward: spikes stay out longer

• Reminder: brief spike time, just enough to keep him respectful

• Punishment: full lock-in with zero negotiation

Once I defined that, everything felt way more controlled instead of random chaos.

2. Keep Timing Predictable… But Not Too Predictable

I tried daily spikes at first. Big mistake. He got comfortable.

What actually worked:

• Baseline: one spike session per week

• Bonus good behavior: skip a week completely

• Slip-up: instant spike lock-in for 24–48 hours

He never knows when the next change is coming, but it’s not wild enough to feel unfair.

3. Make Rules That Don’t Need Explaining

Mine are stupid simple:

• If he complains about the cage → spike day doubles

• If he asks for release → spike goes on immediately

• If he completes tasks without reminders → spike-free weekend

No debating, no negotiating, no loopholes.

4. Don’t Forget Aftercare (Yes, Even With Spikes)

I used to think the “cold silence” was part of punishment. Turns out it just kills the vibe.

Quick aftercare you can literally copy:

• remove spikes slowly

• check for redness

• light cleaning

• short praise or grounding touch

It keeps the control without wrecking trust.

5. Upgrade When He Thinks He’s “Used to It”

If he starts acting brave?

Switch things up:

• shorter cage

• a flatter spike plate

• longer lock-ins

• no schedule warnings at all

Confidence disappears real fast.
